It is to open and close the wheelchair ramp. I did not realize that it would not come with instructions on how to program it for the wheelchair ramp. I still have not been able to program it and am still having to use the old one which only works occasionally. Very frustrating to say the least. My 10 year old son is in a wheelchair and I really need this to work. Installation and programming was a breeze. I have had no problems with it what so ever. If its installed properly you wont have any problems. I use the turbo timer all the time and its as easy as opening the door and pressing the remote start button for 3 seconds and thats it. The other guy the left the bad review probably didnt install it properly. When I first installed it the alarm was very sensitive, it went off every easy and all the time but that was an easy fix. All I had to do was adjust the sensitivity. I bought a second 2 way remote for my wife for $50 from Amazon. I didnt like the one way remote. I replace the battery about every 3-6 months. I am more then happy with this system. Just a quick word of advice when removing the battery tabs from the remotes, Be Very Delicate & Careful. Slide the doors off first before pulling anything. The hooks or tabs on the sliding battery doors are really fragile & poorly designed. I learned the hard way & pulled the plastic tab out that preserves the battery from draining & I ripped the battery door right off. Other than that, the unit is great so far & the remote is holding up pretty well. This review is from: Python 872 Responder LE Security/Remote Start System (Electronics) I bought this starter/alarm because I am tired of cheaply built LCD screens that break in your pocket at work. I installed it myself in a toyota tacoma 2010. The module is good it has a built in shock sensor and antigrind relay. be aware if you have two start wires and two ignition wires you will need an additional relay. The manual was too basic just a pinout really I would have liked a more detailed explanation of every wire. I did manage to find a full version on the internet. The programming of the remote was very complex but still usable. Love the remotes they are simple and work. I programmed them both to lock after 30sec so you can't accidentally start or unlock your vehicle. Some features are a bit complicated on the remote, for example to check temp you have to press 4 buttons and then the leds give you a cold warm warmer indication. The key remote to this alarm system is junk. I have bought 4 remotes and only one works at this time. They break real easy. You cant keep them in your pocket because it will reset the alarm. The alarm part is fine its just the key remotes that suck. If you read the book that comes with the alarm, it says that the battery life will last up to 1 year..... You will be lucky to get 2 months out of it. The batterys are up to [...] a pop. Your better off with a poodle in the back seat. You wish to warm up your car before placing your shivering child inside...so you press the auto-start button on the remote of your new Python 1601 (less than 2 months old). The car just sits there. You try again. Nothing. Funny...remote was working the previous day and the light IS flashing. You search frantically for your wife's keys as your child is wheezing and hacking up a lung. You find them and luckily HER remote DOES work. Next day change battery on your remote...still no luck, the remote no longer unlocks, opens, or disarms. How exactly can I trust this unit to not fail on my wife when she is out with small children? I am so thoroughly disgusted right now that I'm contemplating bringing my car back to the installers and having this unit ripped out.
